Maya loves the versatility of belly dancing and its ability to be, according to its public, a festive and lively dance or a fascinating and mysterious art spectacle. Maya was introduced to oriental dance by Suha (Annie Godbout) and she continues studying it in order to perfect her technical skills.

In addition to her solo career, Maya is one of the founding artists of the Al Baraem ensemble which performs at weddings, festivals, corporations and other various events. She is a conscientious, passionate, and well liked teacher with a talent for communicating and sharing her art.
