meditation

Meditation is practiced for calming the mind, releasing tension and stress, for healing and well-being, and for attaining deeper states of consciousness. For some the ultimate goal of meditation is nothing less than union with God or the universe.

There are countless forms of meditation. Here at IKRA Centre de Santé Optimale, we offer many varieties from both Eastern and Western approaches. Some consist of sitting quietly and focusing on the breath and the tantien/hara (point just below the belly button), with or without gentle movements and the recitation of mantras. Others consist of shamanistic, alchemical, and hypnotherapeutic approaches that use creative visualization, and guided imagery to attain more subtle realms of consciousness.
